Portugal will “go through one of the worst times ever for the SNS”, warns Secretary of State – Observer
The Secretary of State for Health Promotion, Margarida Tavares, warned this Friday that Portugal will “go through one of the worst times ever for the National Health Service (SNS)” next winter, due to the “extraordinarily disruptive effects” that the Covid-19 pandemic brought. “We haven’t decreed the problems of the problems,” she said, adding that the problems related to SARS-CoV-2 “are not over yet.”
In a celebration of the event 57 Years of the National Vaccination Program, Margarida Tavares explained the decision “not to renew the state of alert” was due to the fact that the Government “returns to adjusting the rules” and to “bring the necessary normality” .
