Fundação Oriente organizes the conference “Water – Portugal’s main vulnerabilities to climate change”, with the participation of the Minister of the Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro, on October 10, at 2:30 pm, at the Museu do Oriente. Entrance is free, upon registration.
To this end, Filipe Duarte Santos (National President of Environment and Sustainable Development) informs in a statement to address Portugal’s main vulnerabilities to the Commission’s changes, possible solutions and their urgency; as well as Catarina de Albuquerque (Executive President of the global partnership Sanitation and Water for All), which focuses on the right to drinking water and sanitation as human rights in Portugal.
A roundtable will follow, chaired by João José Fernandes (President of Oikos, Cooperation and Development and doctoral candidate in Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Environment Policies), with the participation of Francisco Ferreira (Professor FCT-NOVA and President of the Associação Zero), Rodrigo Proença de Oliveira (Professor IST-UL), Gonçalo Santos Andrade (Vice-President of CAP and Director of the GAIN Program at AESE Business School) and Luís Matos Martins (President of TESE Associação para o Desenvolvimento and CEO of Creative Territories ).
The closing session will be in charge of the Minister of Environment and Climate Action, Duarte Cordeiro, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fundação Oriente, Carlos Monjardino.
