A sea glider to get from Nice to Monaco? The idea is gaining ground!
Within 5 years, it would be possible to reach Monaco from Nice with a carbon-free vehicle that is half-boat, half-plane.
Nice-Presse unveiled this innovation to you on September 30: the Nice Metropolis is interested in a sea glider (the “SeaGlider”) which could eventually reach coastal cities without any pollution.
And that’s good because 20 minutes report the failure of the second call for tenders launched to find a company capable of delivering a clean maritime shuttle to reach Nice and Monaco.

This carbon-free means of transport, which has not yet been finalized by the American Regent, could reach 200 km/h and transport around thirty people, without polluting the environment.
A test is proposed in Nice in 2024, for a possible commissioning after 2027.
