The player made her debut in 2009 and, since then, the shield makes 11 goals with the Quinas shield on her chest.
Ana Catarina Marques Borges continues to make remarkable marks at 32 years old. Possessing the status of the most international Portuguese player ever, the footballer achieved, in the match against Belgium (Portugal’s 2-1 triumph, at Estádio do Futebol Clube de Vizela, in the play-off round of the first World Cup, 2023, which will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand), the 150 games for Selection A.
A remarkable number, in a career full of individuals and groups, which makes an athlete born in Gouveia very happy: “For me, it’s as if the country were the first. a very special moment, above all because it was a lot with a victory”.
The Sporting star (who also represented Fundação Laura Santos, Prainsa Zaragoza, Santa Clarita Blue Heat, Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea in his football career) made his debut for the Quinas main team on March 4, 2009, in the Algarve Cup, against to Poland, in a match that the National Team won by 2-1, having scored one of the goals. Since then, over these 13 years, he has scored a dozen accurate shots, totaling 11 more goals scored.
In this start of the season, the captain of the Alvalade team has also been featured in the new edition of the BPI League (first division of Portuguese women’s football), as evidenced by the four assists she already has (two against Atlético Ouriense and two against Valadares Gaia). With all these stupendous figures, we can only be sure of one thing: Ana Borges still has a lot of football to give!
