San Marino. The Secretary of State for Education at the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Environment for Europe
Bilateral with the Ministers of Cyprus and Georgia for the Secretary of State for Education and Culture Andrea Belluzzi in Nicosia in recent days on the occasion of the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Environment for Europe.
The Secretariat of State for Education reports “the participation of the Secretary of State for Education and Culture, University and Scientific Research, Youth Policies, Andrea Belluzzi at the 9th Ministerial Conference of the Environment for Europe in Nicosia – organized by the Republic of Cyprus with the support of UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) – began this morning with the bilateral meeting with the Minister of Education of the Republic of Cyprus His Excellency Prodromos Prodromou.
Belluzzi and Prodromou discussed the possibility of working on a Memorandum of Understanding on education, culture and youth policies that creates opportunities for teacher and student exchanges and works of art to carry out exhibition projects with a particular focus on teaching. The agreement could also include initiatives such as visits by experts in various fields including in sustainable education. Finally, Prodromou said he was ready to support the Republic of San Marino in the Erasmus + program.
Great enthusiasm shown by SE Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia with whom Belluzzi held the second bilateral event of the day. In particular, the two Ministers discussed the possibility of signing two memoranda of understanding – one between universities and one between ministries – in the fields of education, research and the exchange of students and professors. The Georgian Minister referred to the important project for the construction of an academic hub in the field of cancer research at the University of Kutaisi, hoping for future collaboration with the Republic of San Marino and its university ”.
