Odebrecht: Lava Jato Special Team and the Andorran Prosecutor’s Office managed to freeze accounts | news
The coordination between the Lava Jato special team and the Andorran Prosecutor’s Office pierced the freezing of accounts linked to former officials of the second government of former President Alan García, investigated and accused by prosecutors from the team dedicated to the Odebrecht case.
International cooperation with the Andorran Prosecutor’s Office was strengthened in January 2019, when the superior prosecutor Rafael Vela Barba, and the provincial prosecutors José Domingo Pérez and Geovanna Mori, traveled to the Principality of Andorra to hold a working meeting with Alfons Alberca, prosecutor General of said State.
Based on the close coordination with Andorra, the Lava Jato special team has been holding various work meetings on a regular basis.
In this way, the next work appointment will be next Tuesday the 18th, where the central theme will be the updating and delivery of mutual information, linked to the cases that the prosecutors are investigating, such as the Lima Metro case and that of Jorge Peñaranda.
To date, there are 42 judicial assistances between the Lava Jato special team and Andorra, which have been attended, with permanent cooperation since 2019.
