GRAND AVIGNON “Two sisters” to open the season of the Orchester national Avignon Provence
It’s back to school for the National Orchestra of Avignon Provence!
The Orchestra offers this Wednesday, October 12 at 8 p.m. at the Opéra du Grand Avignon “Two Sisters”, a program for two voices for its first concert of the season. The two mezzo-sopranos Karine Deshayes and Delphine Haidan interpret arias by Rossini, Berlioz, Bellini, Gluck, but also arias by composers Louise Bertin, Pauline Viardot and Clémence de Grandval. All under the direction of Débora Waldman, who is none other than the musical director of the Orchester national Avignon Provence.
Karine Deshayes is considered one of the best mezzo-sopranos of her generation, three times crowned lyrical artist of the year at the Victoires de la musique Classique. As for Delphine Haidan, she has several international awards to her credit and has already performed on a number of prestigious stages.
Note that the Orchestra will then leave for Paris where, for the first time, it will perform at the Philharmonie “Two Sisters” on Friday October 14 at 8 p.m.
