XIII edition of the PHOTO IILA Award, the exhibition at the Museum of Rome in Trastevere. Images
ROME – Apr to the public Wednesday 5 Octoberto the Museum of Rome in Trastevere, the exhibition that presents the projects of the winner and the finalists of the XIII Prize PHOTO IIILAdedicated to Latin American photographers under 35.
“VAS! Vida, Agua, Salud “ is the theme around which the participants of the award discussed, inspired by one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agendaor thegoal number 3“Health and wellness“.
The exhibition presents the photos of Natalia Ortiz (Colombia), winner of this thirteenth editionwith the project entitled Huele to lluvia (2019) and, next to her, the works of all the finalists of the award are exhibited: Tatiana Aristizabal (Colombia), honorable mention with the project The caballero del paramo (2022); Laura Voskian (Argentina), author de In the exact moment, o muy seeks de lo que se indicates como final (2018-2022); Tamara Zentner (Argentina), with The cuerpo’s diaries (2021); Jairo Bernal (Colombia), author of the project Sobreviendo (2022) and Dina Colectivo – Fabiola Cedillo, Alessandro Bo, Fernanda Garcia (Ecuador), authors of Sobre el agua. A story of elementary resistance (2021).
It is also part of the exhibition Santiago Carmona (Colombia), winner of the last edition of FOTO IILA, following which he stayed for an artist residence in Rome where he created the work Bananera Republic in Rome (2021), presented this year for the first time.
The artist residency for the winner of the PHOTO IILA Award
Come by regulation, the winner Natalia Ortiz will be hosted in Rome for a one-month artist residency, in order to create a photographic project on the Eternal City. The work will then be presented as part of the next edition of the Prize, in the 2023 exhibition.
PHOTO IIILA, made in with the contribution of Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (DGCS / MAECI)in collaboration with i Latin American countries that are members of the IILA and the Adams Experimental Photography Center, is one of the projects of cultural cooperation aimed at encourage and promote knowledge of emerging Latin American photography and the opportunities for international collaboration.
The exhibition, open until November 6, 2022, is promoted by Roma culture, Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritagewith the museum services of Zetema Culture Project.

In consideration of the additional offer represented by the simultaneous presence at the same Museum of the exhibition “Interesting years – Italian life moments 1960 – 1975” (13 May – 16 October 2022), the ticketing of the Museum of Rome in Trastevere will be organized from 5 to October 16, 2022 according to the following rates:
– single ticket including admission to the Museum and Exhibitions for the amount of € 9.50 full and € 8.50 reduced, for non-residents;
– single ticket including admission to the Museum and Exhibitions for the amount of € 8.50 full and € 7.50 reduced, for residents;
– free and reduced for the categories provided for by the current rates. An exhibition only ticket will not be active.
Ordinary ticket after 16 October until 06 November 2022
Full: € 6.00; Reduced: € 5.00
For residents in Roma Capitale and in the metropolitan area (by showing a valid document certifying residence):
Full: € 5.00; Reduced: € 4.00
Free admission for the categories provided for by the current tariffs.
