The prefect of the Rhône indicates that around thirty firefighters have been mobilized, as well as national police officers from the highway CRS.
The fire is extinguished and the rescue operations are over. Cleanup and repair operations are still ongoing.

It is always cut in the south-north direction.
We also know more about the incident. The firefighters were alerted at 4:20 p.m. to a heavy goods vehicle on fire on the emergency lane of the A 46 South, near Corbas in the Marseille-Paris direction at PK 47.8.
The fire started in the cabin and then spread to the trailer, which was loaded with tires. The fire caused a large release of black smoke. The truck driver is unharmed.
The motorway remains closed and exit 14 is compulsory. Firefighters and emergency services are on site to extinguish the fire and collect the numerous debris.
Vinci has not communicated a return traffic time. The sector therefore remains to be avoided.
