San Marino. Demonstration in Rome a year after the assault on the CGIL headquarters, the CSdL participates with a delegation
A delegation of the CSdL led by the Secretary Enzo Merlini will participate on Saturday October 8 in Rome at the great demonstration organized by the CGIL entitled ‘Italy, Europe, listen to the work’, one year old from the assault on the national headquarters in Corso d’Italia by far-right forces.
The CSdL had communicated its participation directly to the Secretary General Landini on the occasion of his visit to San Marino last September 1st. For the CSdL, in addition to Merlini, Confederal Secretary William SantiSecretary the FULI Agostino D’AntonioSecretary the FUCS Stefano ColombariSecretary the FUPI Antonio BacciocchiFULI officials Simona Zonzini And Davide Silquini.
The procession will start at 13.30 from piazza della Repubblica for a visit to piazza del Popolo where, around 17.30the Secretary General CGIL will take the floor for the conclusions Maurizio Landini.
Together with associations, international trade unions and all those who will take part in the initiative, the CGIL will ask Italy and Europe to put the issues of work and social justice back at the center and the next government will relaunch its program of ten proposals. Proposals which, moreover, have many similarities with the San Marino reality. In general, these proposals are in line with the action of the European Trade Union Confederation, which is preparing a European mobilization campaign on the subject of expensive living and the protection of work and retirement income.
At the end of the event, thespecial opening of the national headquarters of the CGIL, which will also continue on Sunday 9 October. Also Sunday is scheduled at 9.30 there panel discussionby title ‘An international anti-fascist network for work, rights and democracy’in which they will speak among others: Gilbert F. Houngbo Director General of the International Labor Organization; Luca VisentiniSecretary General of the European Confederation of Trade Unions; Luigi SbarraCISL Secretary General; Pier Paolo Bombardieri, Secretary General Uil. The conclusions are also entrusted in this case to the Secretary General CGIL Maurizio Landini. The CSdL will also remotely follow the proceedings of the round table.
