People from European countries will gather in Prague for a meeting of the new platform

Prague – People from not only the member states of the European Union, but also other countries of the continent will gather at Prague Castle this afternoon for the first meeting of the European Political Community. In addition to the EU states, 17 other countries were invited, including Britain, Ukraine and Turkey. President Miloš Zeman will speak at an informal state dinner.
British Prime Minister Liz Trussová, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and leaders of the Balkan and post-Soviet countries will visit Prague in addition to the heads of EU countries. After the opening speech, Prime Minister Petar Fiala (ODS) will speak to the colleagues of the quartet of non-EU leaders, including Truss, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi will connect with them remotely.
Then the politicians will sit down at round tables where they will discuss two ranges of topics. The first will be peace and security, the second economy, energy and climate. There will subsequently be room for bilateral negotiations. A press conference is expected at 9:45 p.m.
Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Fiala will meet British Prime Minister Truss at a bilateral meeting in Kramář’s villa in the morning. They will discuss Ukraine, bilateral cooperation between the two countries and cooperation between Great Britain and the EU.
The security and escort of the participants of the EU summit will be ensured by several policemen from Prague and throughout the country, and the army will probably also participate. Traffic closures are not planned, the entire Castle area is closed from Tuesday to Saturday.
The heads of state and prime ministers of the EU member states will then discuss the war in Ukraine and the military and financial support of the countries attacked by Russia, the energy and economic situation in Europe, at an informal meeting of the European Council on Friday.
