pts20221005006 Culture/Lifestyle, Sports/Events
Austria’s largest and most relevant fair for international contemporary art
Innsbruck (pts006/05.10.2022/08:40) –
The connecting element of art has seldom been more important than it is today. “ARTfair fit for future” is therefore the motto of the Heurigen Innsbruck art fair, which will take place from October 27th to 30th, 2022 in the Olympiaworld Innsbruck. Galleries and artists from twenty countries present hundreds of artists from newcomers to high-priced world artists with illustrious names such as Banksy, Francis Bacon, Hermann Nitsch, Mel Ramos, Le Corbusier and Warhol.
What is important for the founder of the fair, Johanna Penz, is the exciting change between art stars and newcomers. “That’s the wonderful thing about an art fair. Big names in art hang there in close proximity to art rookies and young stars. The direct comparison is often amazing and in any case fascinating young people. Of course, we also want to use it to attract art buyers who are interested in the in addition to special presentations on GreenART and other specials, there are expert guided tours every day at 3 p.m. and today the ART-Talk panel discussion on the subject of ‘art and culture in dialogue with business’ wins’, a Lions Charity and this year new to the students Day with specially discounted admission. The location has proven itself, which is why ARTfair Innsbruck 2022 will take place again from October 27th to 30th, 2022 in the Olympiaworld, Olympiastraße 10, in Innsbruck.” https://www.kunstmesse-innsbruck.com
Top art stars from all over the world and young stars from the region
The anniversary fair took place last year. This year it is also the 25+1 anniversary. This means that ARTfair Innsbruck has been a fixed star on the international art fair scene for a quarter of a century. “Innsbruck loves this fair. Innsbruck loves modern art. Unfortunately, there are far too few offers for it. With our often daring art, we show that the city in the mountains is also interested in encountering the latest art trends. The many works of art sold show It’s impressive every year how much art is valued here. That’s why the galleries and their artists are always very satisfied with Innsbruck,” says Johanna Penz.
