Erasmo Abatecola and Giulio Venditti at Rallylegend 2022: a ciociaro and a pontino in San Marino among the legends of the discipline
SAN MARINO – There are only eight days left until Rallylegend 2022: not a simple rally race, but rather a combination of passion, sport, events and meetings unique in the world held in the frame of the Republic of San Marino. The twentieth anniversary edition promises to be one of those historic and, in addition to the very long list of champions who, with their cars, have made the history of this competition, from 13 to 16 October, aboard their Peugeot 106 maxi, will be the Ciociaro Erasmo Abatecola and the Pontine Giulio Venditti will also compete.
Juha Kankkunen, Harri Rovanpera, Gustavo Trelles, Rui Madeira, “Lucky” Battistolli, “Tony” Fassina, Federico Ormezzano: these are just some of the big names in the race and who will race on the track against the all-Lazio crew formed by the Ciociaro Abatecola ( 1st driver / driver) and from the Venditti pontoon (2nd driver / driver).
“It is a dream that he has been carrying inside for years“Says Abatecola:”This year, as soon as the opportunity presented itself – always postponed for work commitments – I didn’t think twice about who should be by my side. After 20 years from the 2003 Pico rally, we are back together in a highly prestigious rally: Abatecola-Venditti, Peugeot 106 maxi, Rally legend 2022“.
Their participation is a source of great pride for both, who underline in unison: “This is the essence of this discipline: the symbiotic relationship that is established between Pilot and Navigator. A mutual trust where everything is not left to chance“. It is the alchemy between the two components, therefore, to make the crew’s fortune, and Abatecola and Venditti seem to have something to sell.
We just have to wish him ours too ‘Good luck’!
