San Marino. Ucs: “Former Banca Cis account holders, we look forward to a meeting with the Secretariat of State in a short time”
“The former account holders of Banca Cis joined the San Marino Accounting Committee to ask for the revision of the rules that freeze their capital for the next 10 years in exchange for government bonds. This is Law 94 of 2022 which entailed the compulsory conversion of the savings of the aforementioned account holders into Government Bonds “.
This is how a press release signed by UCS (Union of Consumers of San Marino), which yes “Was immediately activated to have answers on the matter with the relevant bodies. For its part, the Committee has launched a collective action complete with the collection of signatures which culminated in the presentation of a D’Arengo petition. The headlights have therefore been rekindled on a rather painful page and on a ‘solution’ that has ended up making savers pay a heavy bill, who today find themselves having to face a season that promises to be one of the most difficult and economical, without however be able to meet them with their savings.
On the one hand, therefore, in the past, certain dynamics have placed the country on a particularly narrow and risky ridge, on the other hand, a system that is less fragile than yesterday must however deal with the fragility of savers who at the moment cannot dispose of their own money and whose mistrust undermines future growth. Savers who, however, complain that they have not been listened to in the least.
All the associations met the Committee to discuss and better understand the possible paths to take. UCS had responded to a meeting at the Secretariat in charge on 27 July, a meeting not yet held, we hope it will take place quickly in order to be able to dare to those who have no longer been certain for years ”.
