recruiters and job seekers meet at a sports session
While the number of job offers has increased by 46% in one year in Côte-d’Or and some positions cannot find takers, Pôle Emploi has decided to organize sports meetings between candidates and recruiters to learn how to get to know each other other than during a job interview.
From stadium to employment: this is the name of an unusual job dating organized this Tuesday by Pôle Emploi in Dijon to bring together recruiters and job seekers. The director of Pôle Emploi in Côte-d’Or, Djellali Chaou, came to tell us about this initiative.
What’s the point of making recruiters and job seekers sweat together
This is an action that was carried out in the Hauts de France in 2019. We leave aside the CV, everyone will come in sneakers and sportswear to do some sports activities in the morning without knowing who is who throughout the morning. And then in the afternoon we will lift the anonymity so that people meet.
It will allow to be really on the know-how of the candidates. How are the candidates composed collectively? How do they handle stress? The goal is not to judge a sports performance, it is to see how the matching is done without knowing who is who.
Do we now have to look for these new recipes to bring employers and job seekers closer together?
That does not mean that we completely abandon the CV, the formal interview but on the other hand, there, we are a little bit in innovation. Many companies are looking for candidates with know-how. It is something very important. Beyond the level of qualification, beyond the expertise, it is to know how the candidates compose with the others within the company. And it will be a little bit on this theme that things will be developed.
