Lisbon has its best day in almost three months. BCP soars more than 7% – Bolsa
The PSI advanced 2.38%, the biggest rise since July, closing at 5,526.41 points. The Portuguese stock market enjoyed the strong gains in Europe, with many of the main markets experiencing the most positive day.
Of the 15 listed on the PSI, only Altri, which closed unchanged, did not end the day higher.
The highlight goes to BCP, which shot up 7.55% to 0.1325 euros. The strong gains in Europe come on a day when data released in the US, namely on employment, indicate that the economy may already be in a deceleration. Investors are therefore hoping that F can moderate the hawkish trend in economic policy a bit.
