Police headquarters in Frankfurt am Main
Frankfurt (ots)
(dr) On Sunday afternoon, civil investigators confiscated more than 2 kilograms of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia from two 39 and 40-year-old men in an apartment in Fechenheim.
At around 2:30 p.m. on Lauterbacher Strasse, the 40-year-old, who was riding a bike and drove past them with a clear smell of marijuana, approached the civil officers first. While the officers checked the suspect, the 39-year-old drove past them in a car. He too was taken into police custody. The officials showed good instincts. A drug test carried out on both men reacted positively for THC, so that the journey was over for them. A blood sample was taken on each of the suspected drug trips. But that was not all. During a subsequent search of the apartment of the men living in a shared apartment, the investigators found more than 2 kilograms of marijuana ready for sale, several storage media, various drug equipment and a large amount of cash and secured the evidence.
The two 39 and 40-year-old men were taken to the detention cells of the police headquarters with the aim of being brought before a judge. In addition to the suspicion of drunk driving, they are also being investigated on suspicion of illegal trading and cultivation of narcotics.
