Norway offers to assist in the investigation of the Nord Stream sabotage – Dagsavisen
This is what the Ministry of Defense writes in a press release on Monday evening.
– We take the biggest situation in the Baltic Sea seriously and will of course assist the investigation that Sweden, Denmark and Germany will carry out if there is a need, says State Secretary Bent-Joacim Bentzen, who represented Norway in Monday’s digital meeting.
During the meeting, the State Secretary provided information on the status of Norwegian measures.
– Norway is Europe’s largest supplier of gas, so we have an important strategic role as an energy supplier. That is why the Norwegian Armed Forces have increased their preparedness and presence around our oil installations in the North Sea, he says.
