600 new secure bicycle parking spaces
More than 600 new secure parking spaces will be created for bicycles in 11 Indigo car parks in Toulouse before the end of 2022. 326 are already available in the Esquirol, Parc des Carmes, Saint-Etienne, Place de l’Europe and Saint-Cyprien. Six others should soon see the light of day, notably in Matabiau and Jean Jaurès.
“Some 46% of cyclists give up using their bike for fear of theft. In fact, 15% of people who couldn’t ride a bike say they would buy one if they had a parking space,” explains Toulouse Metropolisciting a survey carried out by the specialized study office 6t. This is why the community announces that 644 additional parking spaces for bicycles will be created in 11 car parks Indigo Toulouse by the end of 2022. These parking spaces will take the form of Secure “Cyclopark”located on the first level of each car park.

Of these 644 secure parking spaces for bicycles, 326 are already available in five car parks From toulouse. In details :
- Cyclopark Esquirol : 100 places, including 5 with a charging station for electrically assisted bicycles (VAE)
- Cyclopark Carmelite Park : 60 places including 4 with a charging station for pedelecs
- Cyclopark Europe Square : 40 spaces including 4 with a charging station for pedelecs
- Cyclopark Saint Cyprian : 60 seats
- Cyclopark Saint Etienne : 66 spaces including 4 with a charging station for pedelecs
By the end of the year, six new Cycloparks will complete the offer in Toulouse. They will be installed in the Saint-Aubin, Saint-Michel, Carnot, Matabiau Ramblas, Gare Marengo and Jean Jaurès car parks. “A twelfth space, the Cyclopark Capitole, will be accessible at the start of 2023”, announces Toulouse Métropole.
Parking for bicycles, lockers, maintenance tools…
The parking spaces in the Cycloparks adapt to all types of equipment, whether simple bikes, cargo bikes, electrically assisted bicycles (VAE), etc. In addition, lockers are installed there to allow users to recharge their VAE battery. Finally, “minor maintenance tools”, such as tire pumps, are available to cyclists to facilitate the maintenance of their bike. The subscription for the Cycloparks in Toulouse is six euros per month or four euros per month for a first subscription of 12 months in a row.
