Weather: wind, fog, rain… Belgium on alert
Autumn with its share of rain and wind is here. And the first weekend of October will not escape the weather hazards specific to this season.

VSThis evening and tonight, some residual showers could still drag on, then some rain could also reach Belgium from France.
Sunday, a zone of rain sprinkled with new Belgium. The heaviest rainfall is expected in the south of the country with a possible risk of thunderstorms near France. During the afternoon, clearings will reach the west and the north. The wind will be weak to moderate at first from west to south-west, then veering to the northwest over the north and becoming variable over the south. The maxima will be between 12°C in the Ardennes and 17°C in the Campine.
The Interior SPF had decided on Friday evening to temporarily activate 1722, after the IRM issued a bad weather warning. The IRM issued a yellow rain alert in Wallonia on Saturday morning in effect until Sunday 9:00 p.m. “The accumulations of precipitation can in places exceed 25 l/m2 in 24 hours south of the Sambre and Meuse furrow,” he warned.
All the conditions are met to witness the formation of fog over most regions on Sunday late night and Monday morning.
