The United States did not indicate that the Russian leadership had made a decision to use weapons in Ukraine. This statement was made by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
In an interview with CNN, he noted that the decision on the use of American weapons is made personally by Russian President Vladimir Putin. “At the moment, I don’t see anything that I would have to communicate that he made such a decision,” Austin said.
The minister said that Washington “directly reports on the use of Moscow against Iran.” True, Austin said he currently does not share private property on the subject with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, although he had previously spoken to a public colleague and had “direct insight into the matter.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at the ceremony of accepting the composition of the Russian Federation of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson assessments, said that the Russian Federation was ready to resume the disease with Ukraine, but would not discuss the choice of residents of Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. According to him, Moscow was built on the new territory “with all significant forces and means,” and the West has no moral right to challenge the results of the referenda.
In turn, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov stressed that the Kremlin will not develop the topic of nuclear escalation, people who talk about it behave irresponsibly.
