Svazek: “Lead an election campaign that Salzburg hasn’t seen yet”
In her speech at the state party conference, FPÖ leader Marlene Svazek talks about her own politics and the politics of others, about Corona, the energy crisis, environmental issues and a new wave of refugees.
SEA CHURCHES, SALZBURG. In her speech at the state party conference of the Salzburg Freedom Party, FPÖ state party leader Marlene Svazek said that she did not want to engage in administrative politics: “Four years ago, nobody knew what times we were heading for, a few months before the next election. But in Salzburg you got caught in the worst possible way: We weren’t prepared for anything – pandemic, war, inflation. In times like this, there needs to be personalities at the top who stand up for the country and the people uncompromisingly and protectively,” says Svazek. “The years of the ÖVP and the Greens in state politics are an end in themselves. You stay out until something happens and then it’s someone else’s fault again,” says Svazek.
“The ÖVP expected us to do that”
Then Svazek hits the hook back to the Corona measures: “We will never forget the ÖVP and our governor Wilfried Haslauer what they have expected of us in this pandemic.”
“We won’t let that happen again”
Into the applause of the Freedom Party, Svazek continues: “They shouldn’t dare again to restrict us, manipulate us, control us and scare us so much. We won’t put up with that again,” says Svazek and promises: “With the participation of the FPÖ in the government, there will be no vaccination requirement.”
Criticism of the EU and the Greens
Svazek doesn’t leave a good hair on the Greens either. Green policy decisions would ignore the way of life of the rural population. “The directives from the EU, which are alien to life, must come to an end,” said Svazek.
“No more handouts”
The climate bonus was not designed accurately, says Svazek, which is why she donated these 500 euros to a Pinzgau family who need the money more urgently than she does. “And now we have to put an end to the gifts of money. Because if you’re a top performer in society, you have to assume that you’re going to make a living. Because that’s our money and that of our children,” says Svazek. “The alms have to end.”
asylum and flight
The state party leader also addressed the issues of asylum and flight. “A new wave of refugees is just around the corner and we have learned nothing from 2015. We couldn’t integrate the refugees from back then, neither into the job market nor into society. This time it will be even worse,” says Svazek.
“Salzburg will make a decision”
“In 2023 this country will make a decision, the citizens will bring us into government and we will take responsibility with motivation and responsibility. We will go into these state elections with your support,” Svazek concludes her speech, “We will not run Being third or second. We don’t just want to be there.”
“We will conduct an election campaign that has not yet been seen in Salzburg and achieve electoral success.”
“We’re fighting for the lead in this country, I’ll give everything for that,” concludes Svazek.
