The Salzburg FPÖ is holding its state party conference in Seekirchen (Flachgau) on Saturday. The Freedom Party will confirm Marlene Svazek as state party leader. In addition, the course for the upcoming state elections in April should be set. The Blues have set themselves tangible gains as their main goal.
Around 200 delegates are expected in Seekirchen on Saturday. The venue for the party congress is the event hall of a large heating manufacturer. But they don’t want to produce hot air there, says state party leader Marlene Svazek – instead, things should get hot politically.
Corona, migration, security as the main topics
In terms of content, the blues want to deal with the current main topics of teaching, the nursing crisis and corona politics. In addition, classic freedom issues such as security, asylum issues, migration and immigration should play a role. FPÖ federal party leader Herbert Kickl is expected to be the guest speaker.
envisaged government participation
The Salzburg Freedom Party wants at least one plus in front of the result in the upcoming Salzburg state elections in April. The place they occupy is less important, says party leader Svazek. One wishes, however, a government participation in the next term of office.
In Tyrol, the Freedom Party overtook the SPÖ in the most recent election – and got exactly as many votes to a tenth of a percent as the FPÖ in Salzburg in the 2018 state election. In Salzburg, however, the Freedom Party was never better than third.
