Oliveira do Hospital eliminates Estrela da Amadora from the Portuguese Cup on penalties
Patrick (66 minutes) opened the scoring for the third-tier team, playing at Tábua’s loaned home, but the ‘secondary’ team still managed to force extra time, with a goal from Diogo Salomão (90+3).
After 30 minutes without news, André Fontes, Wilson, Yaya Bamba and António Alves scored for the locals in the penalty shoot-out, Mário Balbúrdia was the only one to hit the visitors, after Verdade saved Diogo Salomão’s shot and the miss of Latyr Fall, who shot over the bar.
The home team took the first shot in the first minute, with Daffe putting the ball in the hands of António Filipe and, from there, Nuno Pedro’s team played throughout the first half (21, 26 and 38) other attempts to goal, without success.
Estrela da Amadora, from the II Liga, also threatened to open the scoring (7, 10, 19, 33 and 44), but without presenting great danger near the real goal, with shots over the top or into the hands of the goalkeeper.
Estrela da Amadora entered the second half under more pressure and got in danger (50 and 68 minutes), with the ball passing close to the Real goal.
The home team tried to respond and Sandio (65 minutes) shot from outside the area, with António Filipe deflecting it over the bar, and in the next minute, following the corner, Patrick opened the scoring with a header.
The game gained momentum and speed, with Estrela da Amadora increasing the reaction, with a strong shot (80 minutes) to the bar and Oliveira do Hospital trying to take the lead.
In the added minutes (90+3), Diogo Salomão, who came on in the second half, scored the equalizing goal and took the game to extra time.
The extra time marked by the expulsion of Rui Correadora, marked at 94, for the extra time marked, was marked for 10 units marked, but marked, marked did not change and the same was marked in the ‘lottery’.
