Brussels Airlines cancels flights to Burkina Faso after coup, Belgian embassy is closed
Following the military coup in Burkina Faso, the Belgian embassy has closed its doors until further notice. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the travel advice for the West African country. Brussels Airlines has canceled a flight to the capital Ouagadougou.

Lieutenant Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo Damiba was relieved of his duties on Friday by other military personnel. It is the second coup in Burkina Faso in eight months. Damiba had seized power in January.
