Seasonal use of the Berlin-Innsbruck route during Austrian Airlines flight schedules
Lufthansa Group serves the winter paradise of Tyrol with up to 48 weekly connections from Vienna, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stockholm and Copenhagen
The Vienna-Berlin route also benefits from additional flights
In the 2023 winter flight schedule, Austrian Airlines is expanding its offer of flights to and from Berlin and serves the Berlin-Innsbruck route for the first time with a weekly flight. From January 28 to February 25, Austrian Airlines will take passengers from the German capital into the Tyrolean winter every Saturday. With this new connection, the Lufthansa Group improves the Innsbruck network portfolio by adding to the existing routes to Vienna, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Stockholm and Copenhagen. In total, Lufthansa Group airlines will fly to Innsbruck up to 48 times a week during the peak ski season and further strengthen the domestic tourism market.
“With this seasonal service, we are updating our flight schedule to Berlin. Our winter sports experienced passengers will enjoy the convenience of a direct connection to Tyrol. Austrian Airlines and the Lufthansa Group significantly strengthen traffic in the region with nearly 50 flights for the week, ”says Michael Trest, CCO of Austrian Airlines.
The Vienna-Berlin route will also be expanded with an additional flight on Saturdays during the semester break. This will benefit not only city tourists traveling to Vienna or Berlin, but also numerous transfer passengers traveling via Vienna as a convenient hub for their return flight.
