6e edition of this Dance Day
Saturday 1uh October 2022, in partnership with artothe Place de la danse are organizing the 6e edition of its Dance Day. Several public spaces in Toulouse will become open-air theaters and passers-by will turn into attentive spectators…
Raymond VI garden, Place du Ravelin…
These shows, completely free, will take place from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. in four public places. Here is the program :
- In the courtyard of the Cinémathèque: Mellina Boubetra, a young choreographer from hip hop will present “INTRO”. An energetic and biting piece, like a wordless conversation between 3 virtuoso dancers, against a backdrop of electro music
- Forecourt of the Slaughterhouses: Valentin Mériot also presents his first piece entitled “00:18′:15”. This curious name is also the duration of the piece by Philip Glass on which five dancers and dancers launch at high speed. An offbeat and burlesque round.
- Raymond VI Garden: it is facing the Garonne that the performer Chloé Moglia will hang in the air several meters above the ground and by the sheer force of his arms. His show is called “Horizon”
- Place du Ravelin: when night falls, it’s the collective’s turn Videophages to make us dream with Danse en courts, a program of six dancing short films screened under the stars
“Each show is presented twice and it is possible to see everything! », specifies the Place de la Danse. So if you’re wandering around on Saturday, stop for two minutes and enjoy the show.
