Sun and rain cannot be commanded. Nikol Bóková again at Classic Praha, not only about the new label
After more than a year, pianist and composer Nikol Bóková is again a guest of the program Hudba v miléní. In the meantime, she managed to win the Angel award in the jazz category, release a new album Elements, found her own music label and much more.
Pianist and composer Nikol Bóková is referred to as one of the most remarkable young talents of Czech music. She comes from Ostrava, where she graduated from the local school Janáček Conservatory and then the faculty of music Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno. In addition to the interpretation of classical piano compositions, he also devotes himself to his own work. She has released albums so far Indoor location (2019), Untwine (2020), Prometheus (2021) and latest Elements (2022). For the album Prometheuson which they perform, among other things Radek Baborák or Jaromír Honzákacquired Angel award for 2021 in the jazz category. Chamber jazz Nikol Bóková Trio the bassist creates with her Martin Kocian drummer Michal Wierzgon.
Nikol Bóková left the music publishing house Animal music and together with his friend, a visual artist Jan Valafounded her own label called Soleil et Pluie (“Sun and Rain”). They are also co-creators of the project with Jan Vala Cataplasmwhich connects music and video.
