Sales in Slovenia jumped in August

Retail trade in Slovenia increased by 31.7% year-on-year in August, after recording an upwardly revised 25% growth in the previous month, data from the Statistical Office of Slovenia (SURS) announced on Wednesday.
Turnover in retail trade in August was primarily influenced by higher sales of motor fuels, by 93.2%, and food, beverages and tobacco, by 0.7%.
Sales of non-food products increased by 4.3% (5.4% in July).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail trade jumped by 7% and by 0.1% in July.
