NHL 2022 Prague: Sharks and Predators match schedule
The last time the NHL appeared on Czech territory was in 2019 against the Philadelphia Flyers against the Chicago Blackhawks, which was seen by a record 17,500 spectators and ended 4:3 in favor of Jakub Voráček’s team from the Flyers.
This year’s event is accompanied by heated debates about the participation of Russian players in both teams. Dominik Hašek again became one of the loudest critics of their participation. Despite the initial letter from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which included a recommendation that the players not enter the territory of the Czech Republic, a diplomatic solution was finally reached in which the Russian hockey players will be able to participate in both games.
Dates of matches and open training
The first meeting of the Sharks and Predators is scheduled for Friday, October 7 from 8:00 p.mthe second match will be played a day later October 8 again at 8 p.m. Those who want to see the overseas style of hockey live, in addition to match days, also have the opportunity to visit Thursday training, which will take place from 3:00 p.m.
Tickets for the NHL in Prague
The price of training tickets is fixed at 390 CZK. There are currently only a few dozen tickets available for the Friday and Saturday match, which vary depending on the sector at a price of CZK 6,025, CZK 8,025 or CZK 9,025. Fans can buy through Ticketmaster and Ticketportal.
Where to watch the NHL in Prague on TV?
For hockey enthusiasts who cannot go to the O2 Arena, live broadcasts are available thanks to TV Nova on Nova Sport 1, Nova Action and Voyo channels. Some bookmakers also promise to broadcast matches online, which are subject to registration or wagering of minimum amounts.
Czech players in Prague
As part of the San Jose Sharks team, two Czech hockey players and representatives should also appear. The hockey skills of defender Radim Šimek, who has been playing for San Jose in the NHL since 2018, will be on display. Forward Tomáš Hertl is also a part of the American “Sharks” for five years longer, who should also be introduced in Prague.
