While two or three years ago, an average of twenty million forints was enough to buy a property, today, according to Duna House’s analysis, at least thirty million forints are needed to buy an average apartment or plot of land.

He added: among the county seats included in the investigation, this year in Békéscsaba, the second-hand apartment with the largest floor area of 94 square meters can be bought for HUF 30 million. Compared to the capital, however, the difference is more significant, in Budapest – depending on the district – only a third of this amount is spent on homes. According to the announcement, buyers in the eastern half of the country can usually count on more favorable prospects, since on average in these areas they can buy an apartment of up to 70 square meters for the same price as western buyers, who need apartments with a smaller floor area of 10 square meters for the same price. for an amount.
In Kaposvár and Békéscsaba, a family house of almost the same size, 125-127 square meters, can be bought based on the average price per square meter from the HUF 30 million budget, while in Miskolc, only a smaller one of 105 square meters can be bought for the same amount.
Looking at the regions, there has been a significant increase in interest in the properties located in Komárom-Esztergom county, centered in Tatabánya: the average square meter prices show an increase of about 20 percent by 2021.
