Since then, Volman’s villa is part of the international Iconic Houses, which brings together architecturally famous houses and studios from the 20th century. They are also unique in that they also serve as a museum. There are several such towns in Esk, for example Mller’s villa in Praský Steovicch or Josef Hoffmann’s house in Brtnice near Jihlava.
In 1938 and 1939, he kept the villa according to the design of Karel Jan and Jiho Tursy was built by Josef Volman, who built a factory for the production of machine tools in Elkovice, later TOS Elkovice.
Tovrnk Volman strongly contributed to the development of the city, supported culture and sports, and built apartments for his employees. The elements of the villa, which stands in the middle of a large park near the Elbe, are, for example, extended terraces.
For half a century, the wolf was the mother of wheels in the villa, she passed away in the 1990s. The villa known as the center of Tugendhat is a cultural monument.
