Coronavirus, 212 new cases in Pisa and the province
In Tuscany there are 1,821, a regional positivity rate of 19.6%. Growing hospitalizations, stable intensive care. 5 deaths, 1 in the Pisa area
There are 1,821 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in the last twenty-four hours in Tuscany: 315 were confirmed with molecular swab and the others 1,506 with rapid test.
The number of infected people detected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic therefore rises to 1,406,093. New cases are 0.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 3.9% (51,310 people) and save 1,359,853 (96.7% of total cases).
The number of healings in today’s bulletin is linked to an adaptation of the computer system that made it possible to correctly classify a series of cases that, although not affected by Covid, had remained in the statistics. The data has now been realigned correctly.
The data, relating to the progress of the pandemic, are those ascertained today on the basis of the requests of the Civil Protection.
At the moment in Tuscany there are therefore 35,461 positive, -58.3% compared to yesterday. Of these 231 (19 more than yesterday) are hospitalized: 4 (stable) are in intensive care.
The list of deaths is updated with 5 new deaths: one man and 4 women with an average age of 83.4 years.
Since the last daily bulletin, 883 molecular swabs and 8,416 rapid antigenic swabs have been performed: of these, 19.6% were positive. On the other hand, 2,506 subjects were tested, excluding the control swabs: 72.7% of these tested positive. The average age of 1,821 new positives is approximately 49 years (11% are under 20, 14% between 20 and 39, 34% between 40 and 59, 31% between 60 and 79, 10% are 80 years or more).
The trend by province
With the latest cases, the positives rise to 382,764 since the beginning of the emergency in the municipalities of the Metropolitan City of Florence (442 more than yesterday), 93,861 in the province of Prato (102 more), 110,730 in Pistoia (134 more) , 70,883 in Massa Carrara (86 more), 150,040 in Lucca (167 more), 163.141 in Pisa (212 more), 127,420 in Livorno (231 more), 128,025 in Arezzo (189 more), 101,063 in Siena (139 more) and 77,611 in Grosseto (119 more). To these must be added 555 positive cases reported in Tuscany but concerning residents in other regions.
There are 695 new reports in the Central Local Health Authority, 679 in the North West, 447 in the South East.
Tuscany is in 10th place in Italy in terms of overall number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic (between residents and non-residents), with about 38,076 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (the Italian average is 37,870 x100,000, yesterday’s figure). At the moment, the province of notification with the highest rate is Lucca (with 39,077 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Pisa (39,031) and Livorno (38,730). The lowest concentration is found in Prato (with a rate of 35,383).
35,230 are in isolation at home, because symptoms have mild that no hospital care or are symptom-free (49,513 fewer than yesterday, less 58.4%).
The 1,359,853 healed registered to date they are certified with a negative buffer from a viral point of view.

With regard to the province of residence, the deceased people are: 3 in Florence, 1 in Pistoia, 1 in Pisa.
10,779 people have died since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,390 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 880 in the province of Prato, 969 in Pistoia, 684 in Massa Carrara, 1,011 in Lucca, 1,214 in Pisa, 811 in Livorno, 691 in Arezzo, 571 in Siena, 404 in Grosseto. 154 people who died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region must be added.
The raw mortality rate for Covid-19 (number of deaths / resident population) is currently 291.9 per 100,000 residents, against 298.9 for the Italian average. Tuscany ranks ninth among the regions. As for the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (360.3 per 100 thousand inhabitants), while followed by Florence (339.5) and Pistoia (333.9), the lowest is in Grosseto (185.5).
