Blue Week – Avignon at the service of its seniors: Avignon City Hall
A word from Cécile Helle
This year again, the City of Avignon has developed a rich and high quality program for the Blue Week dedicated to our seniors. The theme chosen for this 2022 edition is “Let’s change our view of seniors. Let’s break down received ideas”. With this in mind, fun workshops are organized so that everyone is part of their ideas for improving “aging well in Avignon”.
A device that is part of obtaining the label “City friendly to seniors” that our city aims to reward its actions in favor of its seniors. In the same participative spirit, a forum theater session entitled “Love has no age” invites everyone to express themselves on the theme of human relations in the age of old age.
An important place is thus given to culture during this Blue Week: exhibition of creations made by our elders, museum visits, guided walks, public reading, conference, etc.
Relaxation and conviviality will also be part of the celebration with the holding of a Spanish day and a Creole day. Also on the program: a forum of associations, a day dedicated to the precious caregivers, driver training, etc.
Avignon is proud of its elders and would like to warmly pay tribute to them on the occasion of this Blue Week which promises to be most rewarding.
Cecile Helle,
Mayor of Avignon
