three injured and a monstrous stopper
An impressive pileup caused a no less spectacular traffic jam on Thursday September 29 in Thônes.
Around 4:30 p.m., while driving on the RD 909 towards Villards-sur-Thônes, a car stopped on the road to turn left. Unfortunately, the driver of the coach who was following felt unwell when he arrived at her and just had time to swerve to avoid her. He then swerved completely to his right and, after hitting two cars parked on the side, crashed into the low wall that surrounds the karting of Thônes. Luckily, only 3 people were slightly injured in this boarding, including the coach driver. Which, to be complete, provides the Annecy-Le Grand-Bornand connection with five passengers on board.
Quickly, around thirty firefighters from Thônes, Epagny and La Clusaz, who came with three VSAVs and a fire engine, went to the scene to control the situation, which caused a terrible traffic jam in both directions of traffic. The situation, at 5:15 p.m., was still complicated, in particular because the car runs on gas and its removal is particularly delicate.
By 7:30 p.m. traffic was restored.
