The plane of the Paris-Perpignan flight lands in Toulouse in an emergency, the passengers spend the night on cots
A plane from the Transavia company could not connect Paris to Perpignan this Wednesday, September 28 and was forced to land in Toulouse. The passengers, for lack of accommodation, had to sleep on cots before returning by bus.
It is a misadventure that the passengers of the Paris-Perpignan flight will remember. This Wednesday, September 28, when a plane from the Transavia company was to connect the capital to the prefecture of Pyrénées-Orientales, the latter had to be diverted to Toulouse in an emergency.
The cause: “a climatic hazard” during the landing attempt forcing the pilots and their 150 passengers to go straight towards Haute-Garonne instead of landing shortly after 9 p.m. in Perpignan as planned. “Gusts of more than 40 knots, the equivalent of around 80 km / h, were blowing,” said Denis Leluc, director of Perpignan airport to The Independent.
But the matter does not end there. As our colleagues from France Blue Roussillon, the company would not have found accommodation in Toulouse. The passengers were therefore forced to spend the night on camp beds in the Blagnac terminal before returning by bus this Thursday, September 29.
“This company is a disgrace”
“There were elderly people and a person on crutches, all on their own! We have no news except an automatic SMS from the company We are making every effort to bring you back to Perpignan. No words so much this company is a shame”, testifies a passenger on Facebook.
“So Transavia we don’t know how to land in windy weather in Perpignan tonight? And what do we do with the passengers diverted to Toulouse?” Asked another Internet user on Twitter the same evening.
Hello Roudoudou 66 Mat 21078, I am sorry to read that your plane landed in Toulouse and not in Perpignan as planned due to weather conditions. We apologize for this situation and for all the inconveniences suffered. 1/3
