The Salzburg software company Copa-Data has opened a new company building for ten million euros – for 120 additional employees. The expansion will improve the growth course. The company programmed automation software for industry and the energy sector
Copa-Data currently has just over 200 employees in Salzburg-Maxglan. The annual turnover is around 60 million euros. In 2027 it should be 120 million. A new software for industrial companies should enable the boost. Self-produced electricity – from solar systems – also helps here.
Control of light, solar systems etc.
This combination of energy supply and its distribution should also help other industrial companies – the new business model of Copa-Data. Depending on consumption, the software distributes the energy to where it is needed. Or the power is stored in a first-time battery for later events.
Copa data expanded
Copa-Data is convinced that this invention will find more and more customers in times of the energy crisis. This software is now also being used in their own new building, says Managing Director Thomas Punzenberger: “It’s about controlling lights and blinds, but also for heating and solar monitoring.”
25 jobs left
But even in this company one can sense the massive shortage of skilled workers. Not all 120 new jobs in the new building have been filled yet. Specifically, Mann is still looking for almost 25 employees in almost all departments.
