Exit in Haute-Savoie. Climate issues at the heart of the Fête de la science
There couldn’t be another theme for this Fête de la science. Climate change will be at the heart of the 2022 edition and the events that will take place in Haute-Savoie from October 7 to 17.
La Turbine sciences, the departmental coordinator, has planned a program rich in exhibitions, workshops, visits, conferences, shows… to allow everyone to take the measure of the climate challenges and the essential role that science has to play in meeting them.
135 projects presented, 2 science villages, 7 science trails, 3 science festivals, 30 municipalities concerned… This 2022 edition will respond to the wish of the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Sylvie Retailleau: “Because understanding and awareness are powerful mobilization levers, the sharing of our scientific knowledge is essential to meet the societal challenges we face. Understanding the causes allows us to collectively imagine responses that are both global and specific, to act, each on our own scale, and project ourselves with hope into a desirable future”.
The list of activities is far too long to go into detail, but let’s mention the two science villages (more than 10 actors on the same day, in the same place) on October 7, 8 and 9 on the Annecy campus. from the University of Savoie Mont Blanc; October 12 at the Oscar de Rumilly. Festivals of science actors (gathering of less than 10 on the same day on site) in Marcellaz-Albanais on October 8, La Roche-sur-Foron on October 8 and 9 and Passy on October 15, will complete these occasional gatherings, alongside seven scientific routes (several dates offered by the same organization) in the Chablais Geopark, at the Turbine in Annecy, in the departmental archives, in Chamonix, at the Cluses media library. Companies and equipment such as Bayer Healthcare in Gaillard, the Chavaroche hydroelectric dam in Chavanod, the Syndicat mixte du lac d’Annecy, the Ile Bleue swimming pool in Annecy, will also open their doors, to highlight know-how and technicality. .
