For this 6th edition, Italian Nobel Prize winner Luigi Pirandello will be honoured. For the occasion, the BNF and the Maison Jean Vilar propose to rediscover some of his works through the exhibition “Luigi Pirandello and the Avignon Festival”. For its part, the Vox cinema will offer italian cinema classics to discover in original version.
The libraries have chosen as their theme the mafias, these selected criminal organizations which continue to mark the history of the country and which the readers will be able to discover thanks to a reading, a game or music. A week devoted to Italian culture would not be complete without gastronomy. A market will therefore be set up in front of the Palais des Papes. For five days, it will allow the curious to come and taste Italian cuisine.
The full program can be found on the website avignon.fr.
