First steps in selection
This international break, three Monegasques will remember for a long time, since Benoît Badiashile, Youssouf Fofana and Ismail Jakobs honored their first selection with France for the first two and Senegal for the last. Even better, they all had plenty of game time to show up for the World Cup, and they seized the opportunity.
The Academy-trained defender challenged both games in full and proved solid, for example hitting 100% of his tackles against Austria (2-0). For his part, the AS Monaco midfielder also shone against the Austrians, winning 12 of his 14 duels. Finally, the Monegasque left side honored his first caps by coming into play in the 85th minute against Bolivia (2-0), then started against Iran, causing a but against his camp on a cross.

France and Switzerland maintained in the League of Nations
Major issue of this truce, the maintenance or not of France and Switzerland in League A of the League of Nations. Last in their group before this one, the two nations finally saved themselves thanks in particular to the performance of the Red and Whites.
If Benoît Badiashile and Youssouf Fofana showed themselves with the important Blues, what about the performance of Breel Embolo. The Swiss striker has indeed scored a but in the two games against Spain (2-1) and the Czech Republic (2-1), thus allowing the maintenance of his selection.
