Toulouse. To avoid paying tickets, she claims to be the victim of identity theft
A 24-year-old woman wanted to deceive the police to avoid paying her debts. But she ended up being unmasked, before being taken into custody this week.
His audacity allowed him to get away with it once but not twice. A 24-year-old woman has just been apprehended by the Toulouse police following two false denunciations.
The facts take place in May 2021. In the midst of a health crisis, a lady goes to the police station to file a complaint for identity theft. According to her statements at the time, she would have received dozens of fines from Tisséo, the Toulouse transport service, without being the perpetrator of the offenses.
Three months later, at the beginning of August, this woman returns to the police. And as in May, she assures that a person used his identity to go out illegally in the midst of confinement and therefore refuses to pay the tickets received by mail.
The following months, the police go in search of the scammer but do not find him. All the elements collected support a hypothesis: the thought would have simply lied to avoid paying these fines.
Placed in police custody on Tuesday, this 24-year-old woman confessed everything. She will be summoned before the criminal court in October.
