The cultural proposal of Romagna on display at TourismA. In Florence the presentation of “Impero di Romagna”
The rich cultural proposal of the Romagna will be showcased in Florence by Friday 30 September to Sunday 2 October on the occasion of the eighth edition of tourismA, the international exhibition dedicated to archeology and cultural tourism organized by Archeologia Viva, with the patronage of Enit, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture, the Tuscany Region and the Municipality of Florence.
The event will stage a program of conferences with notes by prominent speakers, attracting over 13,000 visitors from all over Italy to the Palazzo dei Congressi in Florence, including travelers, travelers and professionals. On display in the exhibition area are archaeological parks, museums, destinations, Italian and foreign tourism bodies and tour operators.
In Florence, Romagna will be represented by its tourism promotion bodies and by its operators in the sector (Visit Rimini, Visit Comacchio, Ravenna Incoming Convention & Visitors Bureau, Slow Bike Tourism, RavennAntica, Atlantide), which will thus have the opportunity to illustrate joint proposals to the public regarding events, packages and itineraries to discover the artistic and cultural treasures between the territories of the province of Rimini, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena and Ferrara. At the center are the classic routes, but also the less known ones, the more educational ones and those more inclined to a relaxing and cultural holiday.
The opportunity will be given by the fifth edition of the workshop “Buy Cultural Tourism” by the Ministry of Culture and ENIT, scheduled for Friday 30 September.
Spotlight, in particular, on the presentation of “Empire of Romagna: the pleasure of traveling on the trail of history” a cure of Giacomo Costantini, Councilor for Tourism of the Municipality of Ravenna and contact person for Visit Romagna for the Cultural Routes project, scheduled for Friday 30 September, at the Sala Onice, from 9.30 to 12.30. The presentation highlights the novelties of excavations, archaeological parks, initiatives and events, laboratories, experiences not only for school tourism but also for cultural tourism. The individual interventions on the archaeological novelties of the Romagna territories will follow.
For the occasion, the president by RavennAntica Giuseppe Sassatelli will illustrate the theme “Living and praying: between houses and churches”relating to the inauguration of the two new sections of the Classis Ravenna Museum, scheduled for May 5, 2023.
“Romagna Empire ”is Visit Romagna’s tourist product dedicated to ancient history and archeology, with itineraries in the area, reviews, events and promotional marketing projects inspired by the Roman Empire, its history, its monuments, the traces of its passage still present today in the territory of Romagna.
