The “Wikarus” business prize was awarded on Tuesday evening in the WIFI. It is the most important award for local companies – awarded by the Chamber of Commerce and the state. Among other things, “Senoplast” was honored as company of the year.
It is a dirt-repellent furniture film that is in demand worldwide and on which hardly any fingerprints can be seen, developed in the family company Senoplast Klepsch in Piesendorf (Pinzgau) – a production company that, despite the pandemic in the previous year, achieved its highest sales year in the 66-year company history and at the same time around 22,000 Save tons of carbon dioxide with a new waste treatment plant.
The jury voted Senoplast company of the year, much to the delight of manager Peter Fankhauser, who accepted the Wikarus trophy. “We are really happy about this award. It also means that many things are self-evident for us and you can see here that they are not self-evident. We have been a very well-known company in Pinzgau for over 60 years and it is also very, very important for us to recruit employees to show that we are an innovative company,” says Fankhauser.
Awards in three other categories
There were 55 submissions for the Salzburg Business Prize this year, 15 of which were nominated in three categories. In addition to “Company of the Year”, the “Best Innovation” was also awarded: the dental technology company “Dental Manufacturing” won for the development of the transparent braces and the victory for the “Best Company Start-up” went to the technology company “Checklens”. , both based in the state capital. The fourth Wikarus trophy was awarded for “entrepreneurial life’s work”, this year to Susana Niedan-Feichtinger, who fell ill at short notice, with her two Pinzgau production sites for homeopathic tablets, mainly known for the Schuessler salts.
The “Wikarus” is awarded every year by the WKS and the state in cooperation with the ORF, the Salzburger Nachrichten and the Salzburger Sparkasse.
