“It is useless to promote San Marino abroad if companies are not then allowed to open a current account”
The San Marino lawyer and notary Luca Della Balda writes a letter to the Secretaries of State lifting the veil on an important problem linked to the possibility for foreign companies and entrepreneurs to invest in San Marino.
“Dear Secretaries of State Fabio Righi, Federico Pedini Amati, Luca Beccari, Marco Gatti, Teodoro Lonfernini and Andrea Belluzzi, I respect and respect you, but please do not commit yourself to promoting San Marino abroad, to try to attract investors , to launch international initiatives and joint ventures, to enact innovative laws that can arouse the interest and curiosity of entrepreneurs … These are commendable initiatives, which if I were in your place I would do, but believe me, it’s all wasted.
Do you know, right, that our banks, according to company policy (Sic!), Do not go to current accounts with San Marino companies whose shareholders are foreign companies even if they are from countries on the White list? and that foreign entrepreneurs (even serious ones with interesting projects for the San Marino economy) cannot enter current accounts just because the officials in charge do not want to run the risk of being subjected to economic sanctions by the AIF?
and that a company operating in sectors deemed “at risk” (cars, etc. by the seriousness and solvency of the entrepreneur) do not have to bank accounts?
Dear State Secretaries, or intervene agamba tesa “on AIF and the Central Bank, making them understand that not to live” in a Police State, or otherwise stop spending taxpayers’ money by attending Expo, or participating in seminars with multinationals … we only risk doing figure of m … “
