In Toulouse, “Sisypolia” a performance that questions the absurdity of our contemporary behavior
Case to follow. News from the cultural sector in the regions and internationally thanks to our correspondents abroad, and to those who create cultural life where they are.
Today we are with Natasha Belovadirector, scenographer and puppeteer who will present her new creation, Sisypholia from October 5 to 8 as part of the Biennial of Living Arts in Toulouse (to be held from September 29 to October 15). A performance to discover from October 5 to 8 (Rue d’Alsace Lorraine) and which blurs the lines of understanding to offer a new look at the effects of overconsumption and our absurd behavior.
The performance :
Sisypholia is an outdoor performance that consists in evoking a mythological figure in urban consumption spaces in order to create a poetic disturbance in a commercial movement.
Freely inspired by the myth of Sisyphus, this strange puppet figure will embark on an absurd and repetitive quest, within an environment unsuited to his size and his gait, in order to cause a slight disturbance.
In a desire to create paradoxes, Sisypholia blurs the lines of understanding to offer a new look at the effects of overconsumption and our absurd behaviors.
