In October, Ukraine will present documentaries at the festival in Leipzig
Ukrainian documentary projects will be presented at the Leipzig Documentary and Animation Film Festival “DOK Leipzig”.
This is reported by the press service of the State Agency for Cinema Affairs on the page at Facebookreports Ukrinform.
“The films will be presented in the program sections and on the industrial platform of the film festival. Thus, the program included films from this year’s DOCU/UKRAINE national competition of the Docudays UA film festival: “Play” by director Eva Dzhishyashvili, “Between the sky and the mountains” by Dmytro Greshko, “Pryvoz” by Eva. Neiman and Taras Tomenko’s film “Terikony”, the department notes.
At the same time, as the program coordinator of the festival Terez Antoni emphasizes, “DOK Leipzig” has been cooperating with Ukrainian documentary filmmakers for a long time. This year, as a sign of solidarity with the Docudays UA team, the organizers have placed a platform for the presentation of the national competition of the 19th festival and a showcase of Ukrainian talents in all sections of the festival and industry programs.
The International Leipzig Documentary and Animation Film Festival is one of the oldest in Europe. It was founded in 1955 and takes place annually in October-November in Leipzig (Germany). The main award of the festival is the “Golden Dove” Prize.
