From May 2023, Delta Air Lines will be connecting Geneva with New York
Good news for French-speaking Switzerland: as of next summer, Delta Airlines begin a flight service between Geneva and New York-JFK. The daily non-stop flight will start on April 11, 2023 and will complement the existing connection from Zurich, giving customers the choice of two daily connections from Switzerland.
With the addition of Geneva to Delta’s route network, the airline will connect all ten major European business travel destinations non-stop with New York. From there, guests have same-day connections to more than 65 cities across North America. Delta’s new Geneva route is part of the largest transatlantic flight schedule to date, which includes nearly 620 weekly flights to 11 US airports from 32 European airports.
“Delta’s new Geneva-New York-JFK flight doubles our offering from Switzerland and opens a second gateway to the world’s business capital in the United States,” said Nicolas Ferri, Delta vice president Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. “Our outstanding inflight service, flight schedule and unparalleled connectivity give us the confidence that customers flying between Geneva and New York will always enjoy Delta’s award-winning hospitality.”
The United States is Switzerland’s second largest trading partner, and trade in goods and services is estimated at $134.4 billion in 2019, according to the US Trade Mission. Delta will operate Boeing 767-400 aircraft from Geneva and will offer all four Delta cabins – Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin.
Customers traveling in Delta One enjoy attractive amenities and services, including the so-called “Anyone anywhere“ Amenity kits, soft and about Bedding made from recycled materials, pre-departure beverage service, chef-curated three-course meals and exceptional desserts with make-your-own sundaes. Customers also have complimentary access to the Delta Sky Club at New York-JFK Airport.
The airline is also promising further improvements to its Delta Premium Select cabin. These include an improved food offering, a Bubbles and Bites moment with sparkling wine, water and a special treat just after launch, and the aforementioned Someone Somewhere Amenity Kits featuring Grown Alchemist products.
Delta is the largest airline at New York-JFK Airport with 200 daily departures and is investing in a $1.5 billion renovation to improve the airport’s customer experience. The expansion includes a Delta Sky Club in Concourse A of Terminal 4, as well as a Delta One Club with a special service that further enhances the lounge experience. Upon completion in early 2024, all Delta activities will be consolidated into one terminal, providing customers with a comprehensive travel experience.
