Capuozzo, the leap of the angel

Antoine Dupont is the first to praise the merits of Ange Capuozzo, his new wing partner in the Stade Toulousain jersey. The Italian brings a breath of fresh air to the ranks of Ugo Mola’s men.
A 23-year-old teenager but looking frail, Ange Capuozzo was almost scary to see in the Toulouse jersey, for those who did not know him yet. But of course, it is no coincidence that the Stadium fell back on the former Grenoble player. And no one now asks questions about him, after his benchmark match of the weekend against Racing (37-10) marked by his first try of the season after a capital interception for a frantic race 80 meters. Antoine Dupont, he already knew the lascar and dubs his new teammate: “In Pro D2, we already saw what he was capable of, so I didn’t have too much doubt that he was quickly in the Top 14 . After three or four days, we can already see it and it will grow over the season. I have confidence in him.”
The Italy international (although a native of France) likes having that ‘maximum opportunity to be hard for others to read, it’s a little extra freedom which is nice’. What could be better, in fact, than the setting of Stade Toulousain to bring out the maximum of its potential? “When there is space, you are not alone, and others can make a difference too. It’s very pleasant, you have to continue because you get a taste for it.” Thomas Ramos salutes his strong point, “necessarily speed and support”: “It’s very good that he can express them, he plays a good game defensively too.” From his first tenure, we saw him brilliantly tackle Francis Saili at the entrance of his 22 meters, while the New Zealand international center could go straight on the try.
