Au Revoir Cinderella resumes its expansion plans and returns to Bilbao with a new store
Au Revoir Cinderella returns with a bang. The Barcelona footwear company, which jumped into retail in 2019, opened a new store at 18 Calle Licenciado Poza in Bilbao, settling in a place where the Spanish company Aire Retro was previously located.
With this operation, the company will return to the Biscayan capital, where it already operated three years ago, hand in hand with the consulting firm SGP Real State. The new premises will be divided into two floors, the main one and the basement, which will have an area of approximately 30 square meters and 45 square meters, respectively.
With this new opening, the company will be installed in one of the main commercial hubs of the Bilbao city, which has maintained the occupation of its commercial premises even during the pandemic. In the most stretch major of the avenue, between Rodríguez Arias and Licenciado Poza streets, the occupation is practically absoluteas explained by the consultant to Modaes.
Au Revoir Cinderella will be installed in the ‘prime’ axis of Bilbao with its new establishment
The shoe company was born twelve years ago at the height of the blogging online as one more. Subsequently, the company migrated to social networks and began selling through Facebook and Instagram before launching its own e-commerce, exclusively selling Jeffrey Campbell’s American footwear in Spain as the sole distributor.
In 2017, the Catalan footwear firm expanded its offer by incorporating its own brand, Au Revoir Cinderella, into its online store. It was not until 2019, when the company made the leap to retail with its first own physical store.
Before the outbreak of the pandemic, Au Revoir Cinderella had eight establishments, but Covid-19 forced the company to close many of them, among which a store in Bilbao was found. Since then, he has only kept two of his stores, in Madrid and Barcelona, and a corner in Andorra. With this new opening, Au Revoir Cinderella once again undertakes its expansion in the national territory.
The capital of Au Revoir Cinderella is in the hands of Laura Méndez and Carlota Brell. The company’s headquarters are located in Barcelona, where it has a staff of about seven people. The production of its footwear is concentrated between Alicante and La Rioja.
Au Revoir Cinderella closed the 2021 financial year with a turnover of 1.2 million euros, below the nearly two million euros he obtained in 2019, just before the outbreak of the coronavirus. For this year, the company’s plans are to return to pre-pandemic figures, relying on retail and promoting its own brand with stores.
