A mass of cold air of polar origin hits Belgium: negative temperatures appear

SAccording to the evaluators of the Royal Meteorological Institute of Belgium (IRM), this Wednesday evening and in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, if the weather will be generally dry with large clearings and the formation of mist or a fog bank, However, it will be cool with, for example, lows of 6 to 9 degrees on the coast, 0 to 5 degrees in Lower and Middle Belgium and above all the appearance of negative temperatures of -3 to +3 degrees in the Ardennes.
The wind will be light from a variable direction or from the south, with light to moderate seas from the southwest.
Thursday
Also according to the IRM, on Thursday the day will start with broad clearings and, especially in the Ardennes, low clouds or localized fog. Then, the cloudiness will be variable with the risk of a downpour. At sea, a few showers will already be part of the game at dawn. The maximum will be between 9 degrees in the upper Ardennes and 14 to 15 degrees in Lower and Middle Belgium. The wind will be light and at times moderate from the south-west to the north-west.
Thursday evening, an isolated downpour may still linger before the return of dry weather at night with large sunny spells, mist or local fog. The minimum temperatures will again be cool, oscillating between 0 and 5 degrees in the plain, from -3 to +3 degrees in the Ardennes and from 6 to 9 degrees on the coast. The wind will be weak from variable direction, with moderate seas from the southwest.
